Los Angeles-based Big Advice unites three R&B veterans in a supergroup, of sorts, who specialize in 1970s-style funk grooves with distinct jazz overtones, in the classic style of Earth, Wind & Fire, Tower of Power and Stevie Wonder. The group includes singer and drummer Ahaguna G. Sun (a former member of the Looters), five-string bassist Juan Nelson (bassist for Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals), and Indonesian-born guitarist Werner Schuchner, who has worked with Maze, Soul Train Gang, and the Whispers.
